The client’s requirement was to migrate the data from their legacy system (Oracle E-Business Suite) into Oracle Cloud. There were a lot of setups that needed to be migrated within a short span of time. More than 50 in fact - including receivables, the general ledger, inventory, payables etc. Payable setups that were sensitive and needed to be validated were an extra priority. Some of those payable setups were financial options, payment terms, and various payment methods.
There were many setups available in the Oracle E-Business Suite - a legacy system for them. It is necessary to validate the setups and have a round test for verification. Knowledge about the Oracle Cloud for pre and post load activities is also necessary. Many data migration templates need to be created with all required validations. Conversion cycles from test to UAT to final product. Setups from modules like AP, AR, GL, CM, PA, FA, PO, OM need to be migrated into Oracle Cloud.
Migrated data needs to be validated before and after loading the data. Connections are to be created with Oracle Cloud for executing the Bots. Layouts are created with a lot of elements with the data flow. Layouts are associated with playbacks. Based on the playbacks, a template needs to be created and is attached with the loader. Loader execution sees the data migrated with all validations.

Users are able to create the objects like layout, playback, template, loader themselves with minimal intervention from ChainSys. Loader executions are quick so less time is taken for data migration. Complicated migration flows are completed more easily.

The process is simplified during Multiple Migration Iterations with great accuracy. Check-in and Check-out options in the Smart Bots are used to migrate multiple objects from source to target applications for different Test Cycles. It can be scheduled to repeat the process for testing and loading.
