Founded in 1954, our customer is a U.S.-based, family-owned construction company that provides planning, program management, preconstruction, general contracting, construction management, design-build, and turn-key development. The company’s headquarters is located in Minneapolis, MN, with offices in Chicago, Denver, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Seattle with international operations in Canada and China.
Data integration between Procore (Cloud solution for construction project software) to EBS R12 (On-prem) using Cloud based dataZap was the high level scope for this project. The requirement was a two way, real time integration of Employees (Team Members), Vendors, Projects, Cost Codes, Commitments and Change Events from Procore to EBS R12. The scope also included some of the mappings to be maintained in a dataZap repository.
The change event integrations had to happen between the systems in almost real time. There were about 2000 transactions per day with almost no downtime for the system, 7 days a week.
The business uses Oracle EBS R12 as their ERP solution and Procore for their project management at construction sites. All the master data were maintained in Oracle EBS. Other master data like Employee (team members), Vendors, Cost Issues, Projects and Commitments (contracts)were required by Procore to perform Change Events, which was the core module used by the business.
Client also required some change event details to feed into Oracle EBS’s Financials to handle the finance related activities.
Users were performing dual entry of master data into both Procore and Oracle EBS and bringing necessary transaction related details into Oracle EBS manually. This was causing delayed data entry and data inconsistencies causing them time & money.
An enterprise-wide integration platform was introduced to centralize all integrations flowing across the business. The extractions, transformations & loads were automated using dataZap’s templates, while validations were introduced to ensure data is kept clean throughout.
dataZen was deployed to ensure that all master data is maintained inside a repository (single source of truth), and governance was introduced for new data inputs.
