Client implemented Oracle Cloud ERP and engaged ChainSys as its data migration partner utilizing the ChainSys dataZap offering.
As part of the Oracle Cloud deployment, Client needed data migration from legacy systems for ~35 objects that were primarily loaded to the following tracks - Procurement, Inventory & Payable Systems. The key challenge was around multiple source systems and existence of duplicate and incorrect master data as well as the need for GL code transformation. This was accomplished through the tool that offered automation capability for extraction, and master data cleansing, enrichment and deduping.
Client’s legacy systems offered exceptional challenges since the data had to be cleansed as well as transformed prior to migration to Oracle Cloud ERP. Also, getting a view of the data transformation requirements was the key to success, which was enabled by putting functional teams in-place that had knowledge in both the legacy and Oracle target application. Master data like customer, supplier and chart of accounts are from multiple source systems. Master data cleansing before oracle cloud implementation and stay clean after Oracle Cloud implementation.
ChainSys deployed appMDM (part of the offering from dataZen). All master data objects were directly extracted from multiple legacy systems via templates into a data hub. The extracted master data was cleansed using appMDM with built-in automation for deduping, cleansing and enrichment. This expedited the Oracle Cloud rollout by assuring availability of accurate master data prior to migration to the Oracle Cloud.
ChainSys deployed its dataZen (appMDM) product for cleansing, enrichment of all master data from multiple Legacy systems to Oracle Cloud ERP.
